Weed Control Membrane
Weed Control Membrane, Ground Control Membrane and Drive Way Fabric are all different types of landscape fabrics. The landscaping materials are often referred to as weed guard and weed block membrane and is also sold under various brand names.
Our Weed Control Fabric is designed for domestic use in areas of fairly light footfall for example in borders, flower beds or under chipped bark.
The material used is a non woven spun bound polypropylene which is ‘hot melted' to make the material, it normally weights between 40 and 50g (we only use 50g ) - material weights refer to the weight of a 1m sq.
Weed control is suitable for the prevention of weed growth in flower beds vegetable patches etc we do not recommend it is used on heavy use walk-way areas as due to the weight and construction of the material it is likely to easily tear - it is extremely good value but in heavy duty situations may tear if walked on or heavily physically stressed.

The purpose of Landscape fabrics is to control weeds and also to act as a stable barrier to prevent gravels, block paving and other base materials sinking into the soil below them.
