DELIVERIES ARE GOING AHEAD BUT WITH DELAYS AND SOME EXCEPTIONS

Covid-19 Update:


As with any responsible business and individual our first priority is safety.  Safety to us means the health, safety and well-being of staff, customers and the population at large. We will adhere strictly to Government Guidelines and will take any action that we perceive to be responsible or within a duty of care to protect all parties.


Most products on Garden Chic are sourced direct from suppliers stock and suppliers arrange the delivery to you, our customers.  As you may expect we are expecting some delays on certain deliveries. In the main suppliers are endeavouring to hit reasonable delivery periods however the current circumstances are affecting staff availability and delivery vehicles etc. which is having a knock on effect on deliveries across the board.

Unfortunately we are not able to give delivery schedule guidelines before an order is placed beyond the message on each product page and as per below. At the moment we are unable to offer any sort of express or expedited deliveries and the lead times shown on the product pages are what have been advised by the manufacturers and cannot be brought forward.


Due to the fact that many people all over the UK are spending more time at home than ever we have seen an increase in order volumes as people are striving to carry out home improvements and make the most of the space they have at home. As a result of this spike in order volumes and increased demand, we are seeing some delays in deliveries of certain items however please be assured that ALL ORDERS WILL BE DELIVERED. 

The current National Emergency is affecting all of us in some way and we kindly ask that during this time whilst we all come to terms with the ‘new normal’ that you be kind and patient as all of our staff are working tirelessly round the clock to ensure that all orders are fulfilled and all customers kept up to date with changes to delivery guidelines. We realise that this new way of working can cause frustration but please keep in mind that all of our staff have the right to work without fear of threat and everyone is doing their best for our much appreciated customers. If you do experience a delay in the delivery of your goods please accept our apologies.


As of 25/03/2020 many of our suppliers and carriers have announced that they are not currently going to be able to deliver to the following postcode locations:


IV, KW, PA, PH and other remote postcodes.


With the closure of many hotels and B&Bs the drivers are not able to make deliveries to these areas without a stop over in line with the legal driving requirements. Please contact us if you are in any doubt before placing an order.


Owing to Social Distancing our suppliers are taking the view that at the moment two man deliveries are a risk to the delivery staffs health as it is potentially unsafe to have two people in one vehicle hence they are seeking an alternative delivery method with the result that many larger items will have a rather delayed delivery schedule. We have had some offers from customers that they would like to offload themselves, however this is not a possibility. The two man delivery couriers that are used by us and our suppliers are carefully selected, fully insured and have had specific manual handling training. We cannot authorise the offloading of heavy or bulky items by members of the public for these reasons.


Most delivery companies are now running a non-contact delivery service where they will ask you to kindly remain in the house whilst your delivery is carried out, this is to protect both you and the delivery staff and to comply with the social distancing advice put forward by the government


We will keep the website updated and all staff briefed daily as the situation evolves.


Please keep watch over your order confirmation, which has a dynamic link (Updated daily) to delivery information, emails and spam folder for further information relating to existing orders however for the moment at least we are very much running as business as usual.


Specific Supplier Information:


A1 Garden Buildings: A1 are based in Newark Nottinghamshire. They are able to offer their buildings throughout the Midlands, most of Yorkshire and Lancashire, the Home Counties (excluding South of London).  As soon as Covid restrictions are lifted they will resume nationwide deliveries. Delivery times are around 4 – 6 weeks.


Deco Pak – No new orders being taken until further notice.


Storemore Garden Buildings  - Deliveries are expected to take around a 40 working days

Eden, Halls and Juliana Greenhouses - Deliveries schedules now up-to 80 working days.

Elite Greenhouse: Deliveries schedules now up-to 80 working days.

Forest Garden - Guideline lead time on delivery of Forest Garden produict order is currently 28 working days. All customers will be contacted ahead of delivery with a delivery date.  There may be some delay on larger items.

Haemmerlin: Delivery within 7 working days.

KelKay - No new orders being taken until further notice.

Keter - No new orders being taken until further notice.

La Hacienda - No new orders being taken until further notice.

Mercia: Mercia deliveries are currently going ahead with many products delivered with the stated schedule however please allow upto 21 working days for delivery. Assembly service is currently suspended. Sale of Fence Panels, Fence Posts and accessories are suspended until Covid 19 restrictions are lifted.

Palram - Deliveries schedules have been extended to around 15 working days

Rowlinson: No new orders being taken until further notice.

Shire - Installation services for Shire sheds and garden structures have temporarily been suspended.  Most buildings have a lead time of around 18 weeks (4 months).

Vitavia Greenhouses - Delivery Schedules are extended UP TO a 6-7 weeks

Yardmaster: No new orders being taken until further notice.

The above list is intended as a guide and is not exhaustive.  Many items will be delivered well within these guidelines.
Please remember, the current National Emergency is Temporary.  ALL ORDERS WILL BE DELIVERD however there may be some delays on delivery.
